In rural Southern Africa, calabashes fruits other known as Tupperware trees (dried and hollowed) are used for typical utensils such as ladles, bowls, cups, bottles and containers to keep liquids, floats, pipes and musical instruments. When the flesh is eaten, it’s healing properties can cure many ailments & diseases even cancer! When dried, the fruit’s shell can be used to make various kinds of everyday items including spiritual tools such as Calabash Bags and Steam Chalice’s.
